Oral history interview, April 18, 1991 [sound recording].

The accession consists of one 60 minute audio cassette tape recording of an interview conducted by Elaine R. Brooks with Roger Randall Dougan Revelle on April 18, 1991 about the issues of poverty, homelessness and environmental quality in San Diego. Ms. Brooks interviewed Dr. Revelle as research for her San Diego State University School of Social Work master's thesis, "Domestic Policy Since the New Federalism: Local Response to the Homeless and the Environmment in the San Diego, California Region." The interview includes discussion of the relationship between San Diego area academics and local government, the problems of poverty, homelessnes, health insurance for the poor, the relationship between San Diego and Tijuana, and local environmental issues including air and water quality. The interview also includes discussion of environmental and community planning organizations. The audio quality of the cassetee tape recording is poor.
